Expense Manager is designed with privacy in mind. We collect and store the following data:

• Personal Information: Name, age, mobile number, email (optional)
• Financial Data: Income details, expense records, budget information
• Category Data: Expense categories and customizations
• Settings: App preferences and theme choices

Important: All data is stored LOCALLY on your device using Hive database. We do NOT collect, transmit, or store your data on any remote servers.

Your data is used exclusively within the app to:

• Display your financial overview and dashboard
• Track and categorize your expenses
• Generate spending analytics and insights
• Manage budgets and financial goals
• Personalize your app experience

Your data never leaves your device and is not shared with any third parties.

We take data security seriously:

• Offline-First Architecture: All data is stored locally using Hive NoSQL database
• No Cloud Sync: Your data is never uploaded to external servers
• Device-Level Security: Data is protected by your device's built-in security (lock screen, encryption)
• No Third-Party Access: We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs that access your data

Note: Since data is stored locally, losing your device or uninstalling the app will result in permanent data loss unless you export it.

We DO NOT share your data with any third parties, including:

• Advertisers or marketing companies
• Analytics or tracking services
• Cloud storage providers
• Financial institutions
• Government agencies (unless legally required)

Your data remains exclusively on your device and under your control.

You have full control over your data:

• Access: View all your stored data within the app
• Export: Download your data as Excel or CSV files
• Delete: Clear all data from Settings → Data Management
• Modify: Edit or update any information at any time

Since all data is local, you can also delete everything by uninstalling the app (permanent deletion).

Your data is retained on your device until you choose to delete it:

• Manual Deletion: You can delete individual transactions or clear all data from Settings
• App Uninstall: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data
• Device Reset: Factory resetting your device will erase all app data

We recommend exporting your data regularly if you want to keep backups.

Expense Manager requests the following permissions:

• Storage Access: To save and export data files (Excel/CSV)
• Notifications (Optional): To remind you to log expenses (if enabled)

We do NOT request permissions for:
• Camera, Microphone, Location
• Contacts, SMS, Phone calls
• Internet access for data transmission

Expense Manager is suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect or transmit any data to external servers, there are no additional privacy concerns for children. However, parental supervision is recommended for minors managing financial information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any updates will be:

• Communicated through an in-app notification
• Displayed with a revised "Last Updated" date
• Available in Settings → Privacy Policy

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
